Smile Creation offer an array of cosmetic dentistry options to restore and improve the look of your smile. Our team are highly skilled and trained in cosmetic dentistry and have a passion for creating beautiful smiles.
A dental crown is designed to restore the natural function of your tooth. It can also be used as a cosmetic dentistry solution. If your tooth is fragile and worn down, a dental crown can restore the life of the tooth again.
Leaving a damaged tooth in a bad state will only lead to more severe future damage, sometimes even tooth loss. We want to preserve your smile as much as possible, so you can enjoy a healthier, happier smile for life.
A dental crown sits comfortably over your damaged tooth like a protective cap. It is tooth-like in colour and blends in with the rest of your teeth.
The first step to restoring a damaged tooth, is to schedule your consultation with our dentist. You will come in for an exam and consultation with Dr Sanjay and the team. We can take X-rays if required and will discuss all treatment options to you.
Once you decide you would like to move forward, we will administer a local anaesthetic, so you are comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. We then gently trim down around the damaged tooth to make room for the crown.
Then, we will take impressions so your crown can be made and give you a temporary crown to go home with.
Your next appointment involves getting the permanent crown placed. When you come back for your procedure, similar to last time we will provide you with a local anaesthetic and remove the temporary crown.
Your permanent crown is then placed on top of the damaged tooth and you will walk away with a restored, healthy smile.
Dental bridges are a popular way to bridge the gap! We offer dental bridges for single or multiple missing teeth right here in our practice. Bridges are a more affordable solution to missing teeth compared to dental implants. The process to get a dental bridge involves coming in for a consultation first. Our dentist will examine your teeth and gums and determine if you’re a healthy candidate to have a bridge placed. The neighbouring teeth must be strong and healthy to hold the bridge in place.
We will then take impressions, and have you come in roughly one to two weeks later to have the permanent bridge placed.
Your first appointment should take up to roughly 30 minutes. This is where our dentist will examine your tooth and determine whether you’re a good candidate for dental crowns.
The actual crown procedure may take up to 60 minutes. It depends on how complex your case is and how many crowns are required. You will walk away from this appointment with your permanent crown and a fully restored smile.
