The first step to restoring and improving your smile with dental bonding is to book your consultation. This is where Dr Sanjay will assess your teeth and take X-rays if required. At this visit we will be able to determine if you’re a good candidate for cosmetic bonding.
Once you’ve had your consultation and would like to go ahead, we will book your next appointment to have your procedure.
Your dental bonding appointment is one that completed in just a single visit, so you will walk away with a new smile after just one appointment!
To ensure your comfort, we will administer a numbing agent and local anaesthetic, so your treatment is as comfortable as possible. Dr Sanjay and the team take pride in communicating with patients throughout their procedure. We want you to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible.
Once the anaesthetic has settled in, we gently drill over the surface of the damaged or stained teeth to prepare it for the bonding procedure. The actual bonding material is a composite resin, just like a white filling. It is colour matched to your other teeth to blend in perfectly.
We then, artistically, shape around your tooth with the bonding material. As a result, giving your teeth a new, brighter, whiter appearance. Once cured and the solution has completely attached to your tooth, you will be free to go home and enjoy your new smile.
The entire appointment will typically go for around 30-60 minutes, depending on how many teeth are having the cosmetic bonding procedure.
